If your existing lawn is too far gone for other drainage solutions, re-grading may be a permanent and maintenance-free solution for you.

Rough grade is shaping and sloping your property correctly without otherwise conditioning the soil, which leaves you with the correct slope but an otherwise rough surface. In order to grow grass or create a smooth surface, the area must be brought up to final grade, which includes removing debris like rocks and sticks, smoothing out the surface and getting it ready for topsoil and grass seed.

Hydroseeding and Sod

After your yard has been through the final grading process, it's time to grow new grass. There is always the tried-and-true method of spreading grass seed, but if you're looking for a faster way, New Heitz offers Hydroseeding and Sod installation.

Hydroseeding is the process of spraying a slurry mixture of grass seed, mulch, fertilizers, other soil additives and water through a specialized machine and onto your yard. Initially it appears as if a greenish fuzz has spread throughout your property, but in a matter of a week or so will turn into thick, lush grass.

Sod is grass and its root systems that have been harvested from another location. It is cut and rolled up, and transported to your home to be rolled out. Applying sod gives you an instant lawn, with the root system taking hold in about two weeks.

Driveways and Access Roads

Driveways are a thing that you have and forget about until something happens to it. When something does happen, like a large crack or pothole, it is very cumbersome until it is taken care of. New Heitz can rip up that old driveway and give you a nice, smooth one. Whether it is concrete, asphalt, bricks/pavers or gravel, New Heitz can create the driveway of your dreams.

New Heitz also specializes in access roads, which can lead through rough terrain or to remote locations.
